Winning First Award in the 1st Intelligent Processing Algorithm Competition of Massive Optical Remote Sensing Satellite Data

Adhering to “Openness, Fairness, Innovation and Direction” , the 1st Intelligent Processing Algorithm Competition of Massive Optical Remote Sensing Satellite Data has been organized to the development and application of technology in related field. In the competition intelligent domestic processors have been initially used, intelligent data processing have been helped upgraded, platforms have been set up for a diverse background of research teams and experiences have been accumulated for the integration of industry, education and research in the field of national artificial intelligence.


The 1st Intelligent Processing Algorithm Competition of Massive Optical Remote Sensing Satellite Data focuses on two subjects: remote sensing target detection with intelligent recognition; independent development and application of massive remote sensing data. The organizer provides teams with standard debugging and testing data; more importantly, evaluation standard is quantitative。

 

The whole competition has undergone 3 rounds of competition, the preliminary, the semi-final and finals lasting from May to December. Over 300 teams have been attracted to participate in the preliminary and after the semifinals only 12 teams have obtained the chance for final competition in December. Finally, our school team “Snail” under the supervision of ZHU Zongwei has won the the first Award in the competition.

 

The Award Ceremony was officially held on Shenzhen campus of Harbin Institute of Technology on December 14. CAO Xibin, Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians and officials from related departments of Shenzhen municipal government along with the contestants have witnessed the entire ceremony.
